Dawn Majors (President) Playing key roles in all three camps, Dawn is our current Board President and has served as Alumni Camp Director, counselor, aide, volunteer and interpreter throughout her 20 years of service at Camp Sue. When she is not giving her time here, Dawn teaches seventh grade at Garfield Heights Middle School and spends time with her husband and two sons.
Peggy Karg (Vice President) An intervention specialist at Cardinal Middle School in Middlefield for the last 29 years, Peggy has been involved with Camp Sue for 23 of them. In addition to serving on the board, she has also served as Alumni Camp Director, Day Camp Director, counselor and volunteer at all three camps.
Brandy Siegel Residence Camp Director Originally joining Camp Sue as a counselor after her Hiram College graduation in 2004, Brandy knew that camp would always be a part of her life. It is her favorite time of year and she considers it "the happiest place on earth." When Brandy is not at camp, she is working as a middle school math teacher and coach for Perry Local Schools.
Andrea Levine Andrea joined the Camp Sue family after graduating high school and learning about the experience through working at Camp Burton. She loves working with all ages and has had worn many hats during her time at Camp Sue. Her favorite part of camp is seeing the enjoyment on the camper's faces. She is currently working at Edison Local School District as an Intervention Specialist. In her free time Andrea stays busy coaching softball and taking tickets for sporting events.
Kathie Doyle Kathie is retired from a 35-year career in the Cardinal School District of Geauga County, but still conducts graduate seminars at Lake Erie College for Teachers. With two busy children of her own, Kathie is enjoying retirement and also finds time to volunteer for other charities like the American Cancer Society.
Jim Meadows Jim is an Outdoor Education Manager for Lake Metroparks, a leader in providing high quality recreation programming for individuals with special needs. His passion is reflected in more than 25 years of service with the agency, during which he has also been a Recreation Specialist and even a maintenance worker. Strengthening our leadership at Camp Sue, Jim also has a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and is a State certified Park and Recreation professional.
Teresa Stopek Since 1990, Teresa has been involved with Camp Sue in various ways including as an aide, a counselor, a coordinator and most recently, a board member. She has given her time working at day and overnight camps, but alumni camps are her favorite because in her words, "I can continue the friendships made from when I first started working at camp."
Joseph Zele Joe began working at Camp Sue 16 years ago, when his daughter Aubrey started attending our Summer Camp, and has served as a valued member of our board for the last six. Previously a tool maker at Precise Tool and Die in Willoughby, Joe has lived in Lake County for 29 years and is also a dedicated father to Joshua and husband to wife Lynne.
Katie Eckles A certified teacher who has taught a variety of subjects Katie has also worked for the county educating others in the area of special education. Katie has three kids at home who keep her busy and enjoys helping camp because she loves to see what the kids can do when given the assistance needed to participate.
Jeff Roman A former volunteer who became a counselor for Camp Sue, Jeff now works for a non-profit organization named Convoy of Hope. He proposed to his wife at a campfire during residence camp!
Eric Barninger An executive for Chase Bank who joined the board to help keep this magical camp financed.
John Manfredi Dedicated to helping all children, John is on the school board for Berkshire Schools while also working full time. John is the father of 3 and his son Ryan has been a camper for many years.
Tia Lawrence Tia's passion is working with kids. She is the Director of Programs for Big Brothers Big Sisters Northeast Ohio. Tia recently joined the Camp Sue Osborn Board. She is a busy mother of 3 girls and she is so excited to get involved with Camp Sue Osborn.
Martin J. Germ* A Certified Public Accountant and Finance Director of the City of Wickliffe, Marty has managed the funds for Camp Sue Osborn since 1987. He is also Treasurer of the Mental Health Association in Geauga County and an integral part of our board at Camp Sue.
Sharon Fazzone* Originally from Louisville, KY, Sharon is a dedicated wife, mother (of 3) and grandmother (of 3) in addition to being the Administrative Assistant for Camp Sue. She is an alumnus of Notre Dame College in Ohio and is retired from a career with Avery Dennison. When visiting Residence Camp, Sharon especially enjoys Talent Night.
